Who is Soloma for?

Is Soloma for any type of single mother, or specifically divorced/widowed/never married?
All of the above. If you're raising children alone for any reason,
Soloma is for you.
Is this open to mothers outside the US?
Our practical resources are currently US-based but we're building with the global community in mind, and aim to expand once we find our footing.
How is this different from finding a place via Facebook group or WhatsApp?
Our matching process is designed to ensure situation, values, and the needs of each family are aligned before an introduction is made. We do that work first so your only task is to gauge for compatibility, vs. finding the right person in the right zip code, on top of searching for the right place to live.
What if I'm not ready to talk to anyone yet, can I just observe?
Yes. Joining the waitlist just means you're open to the conversation.
Nothing moves without your consent, and we do our best to provide you with resources that may be helpful regardless of whether you co-rent or choose not to.
Will there be a cost to join once it launches?
Honestly, we're still working that out, learning from the women who join early to understand the best way of structuring this. There will likely be a small fee of $1 to enter the pool, and $50 at the point of match as a signal of commitment from both families. Joining the waitlist will always be free. However cost will never be the reason someone can't access support here.
What will happens if I join the waitlist and change my mind?
Nothing. No pressure, no follow-up guilt. You can unsubscribe at any time.
When does it launch?
We're building now and will begin matching as our community grows. Joining the waitlist means you're among the first of our founding circle, helping shape Soloma into a powerful resource.

WHY SOLOMA EXISTS
My name is Baroosh and I'm a single mother of two who spent far too long not knowing how to navigate this experience. I knew others like me existed, but didn't know where to find them or how to break into close-knit circles to access guidance.
As the only parent I've done the math on a two-bedroom at midnight, renewed the lease on a place too small for the right school district, and stretched a month further than it was meant to go because there wasn't an alternative. All while making jokes about my life to friends and strangers.
I'm building Soloma because I needed it. That's the only qualification I have.
And I hope it's the only one that matters here.
